Gerald Sloat was born in New York on January 12, 1945. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester, NY and his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1969. He passed the New York State Bar Exam that year and began practicing law in New York City. Two years later he moved to Boulder Colorado.

Mr. Sloat has been practicing law in Colorado since 1971 and is still admitted in New York. His practice is limited to personal injury law. Mr. Sloat has been awarded the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards through a national rating process. He enjoys what he does and he cares about his clients, his profession and his community.
